What are polite endings?

Updated: Dec 12, 2022

In Thai, ค่ะ (ka) and ครับ (krap) are two polite particles that are used at the end of sentences. These particles are used to show respect and deference to the person being addressed. ค่ะ (ka) is typically used by female speakers, while ครับ (krap) is typically used by male speakers. However, it is important to note that these particles are not always used according to the speaker's gender, and they can be used by either male or female speakers depending on the situation and the relationship between the speaker and the person being addressed.
