3 phrases if you're lost!

If you are lost in Thailand and need to ask for help, here are three popular phrases you can use:

  1. "ฉัน สูญ หาย" (chan suan hai) - "I am lost"

  2. คุณ ช่วย ฉัน ได้ไหม? (kun chuay chan dai mai?) - "Can you help me?"

  3. สถานีขนส่งอยู่ที่ไหน (sa-ta-nee kon song yu tee-nai?) - "Where is the bus station?" At a bus station you would normally have people who speak some English. There will also be different types of transport including Taxis.

It is also a good idea to have a map or a translation app on your phone to help communicate and navigate in Thailand. If you are in a more rural area where few people speak English, using gestures and drawing a map can also be helpful in getting directions.
